The event took place at the Colegio de Ingenieros Industriales de Catalu\u00f1a and brought together manufacturers, engineering companies, technical organizations and specialized professionals from the sector. <\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"zlmtqn\" data-start=\"831\" data-end=\"896\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-166865 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cofem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TECNIFUEGO_14-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"1054\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cofem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TECNIFUEGO_14-1.jpg 1400w, https:\/\/cofem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TECNIFUEGO_14-1-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cofem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TECNIFUEGO_14-1-1024x771.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cofem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TECNIFUEGO_14-1-768x578.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cofem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/TECNIFUEGO_14-1-350x264.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1400px) 100vw, 1400px\" \/>The future of fire detection, the focus of the debate<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1083\">The main theme of this edition focused on analyzing how fire detection is evolving in the face of new scenarios in modern buildings and facilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1452\">During the conference, the important changes that have been incorporated in recent years in buildings, such as the increase in electricity demand, the proliferation of battery-powered devices, the implementation of photovoltaic installations or the growing presence of electric vehicles and charging systems with high-capacity batteries, were addressed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1757\">All these elements are generating new risk scenarios for buildings that, in many cases, were not originally designed to support this type of installations and energy consumption, which forces the sector to constantly evolve in terms of prevention, detection and response.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1irniec\" data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1796\">Evolution of standard UNE 23007-14<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1798\" data-end=\"2093\">In this context, Antonio Vinuesa shared during the round table the current status of the work being developed around the draft of the UNE 23007-14 standard, one of the reference standards for the installation, use and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2095\" data-end=\"2228\">During his speech he highlighted some of the main challenges and lines of work currently being addressed, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2230\" data-end=\"2615\">\n<li data-section-id=\"v6ks1t\" data-start=\"2230\" data-end=\"2295\">The incorporation of new technologies and detection systems.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"u6otlp\" data-start=\"2296\" data-end=\"2351\">Expansion and updating of technical contents.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1nhdrcd\" data-start=\"2352\" data-end=\"2425\">Improved explanations, application criteria and technical figures.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1o0a4b1\" data-start=\"2426\" data-end=\"2476\">The inclusion of visual alarm devices.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"32c1od\" data-start=\"2477\" data-end=\"2523\">The evolution of power supplies.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"4l7kn7\" data-start=\"2524\" data-end=\"2615\">The definition of criteria related to the useful life and maintenance of the systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1026d6a\" data-start=\"2617\" data-end=\"2668\">New challenges for fire protection<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2670\" data-end=\"2988\">The round table also provided an opportunity to discuss other topics of great relevance to the sector, such as the current state of detection in homes, the vision and needs of the emergency services and the growing importance of alarms being able to communicate with Fire Monitoring Center (CRI) services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2990\" data-end=\"3219\">These types of meetings are essential to share knowledge, identify future needs and move towards detection and alarm systems that are increasingly prepared to respond to new security challenges.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3221\" data-end=\"3502\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">From COFEM we value very positively the participation in initiatives that promote innovation, standardization and continuous improvement of fire protection, reaffirming our commitment to technological development and the safety of people and buildings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Thursday, May 21, 2026, Antonio Vinuesa, Technical Director of COFEM and President of the AENOR Standardization Committee on Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, participated in the Detection Round Table organized by Tecnifuego in collaboration with the Cl\u00faster de Seguretat contra Incendis.
