The opening day brought together installers, engineering firms, and other professionals in the fire protection industry, who had the opportunity to tour the new facilities, learn about our latest technological solutions, and share experiences with the COFEM team.

The opening of our new office marks another step forward in our commitment to working closely with professionals in the industry.

Beyond the typical commercial and technical functions of a branch office, we want these facilities to become a meeting place for manufacturers, installers, engineering firms, and fire protection specialists—a place to share knowledge, resolve technical questions, and gain firsthand experience with the technologies that will later be integrated into real-world projects.

During the opening ceremony, attendees had the opportunity to explore various COFEM systems and solutions, learn about their applications, and discuss with our technical team some of the current challenges involved in the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.

One of the main objectives of this new facility is to promote technical knowledge through a space specifically designed for specialized training.

Technological advances in fire detection and alarm systems, their increasing digitization, and new possibilities for configuration, monitoring, and integration make professional training increasingly important to ensure safe and efficient installations.

This commitment to training takes on special significance in the current regulatory context. The Regulation on Fire Protection Systems (RIPCI), approved by Royal Decree 513/2017, establishes specific qualification requirements for personnel at installation and maintenance companies.

In addition, in December 2025, the new Professional Certificate in Fire Protection Systems was approved—an official 690-hour training program focused on the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of active fire protection systems.

These advances reflect the growing importance of technical training and qualifications in a sector that requires professionals who are prepared to work with increasingly specialized technologies.

At COFEM, we believe that technical training must be closely linked to practical experience and the real needs of installers and engineering firms.

For this reason, the new facility in Valencia is designed to facilitate hands-on learning and direct interaction with the equipment, allowing users to gain a deeper understanding of how it works, how it is configured, and how it is applied in real-world installations.

Our goal is to share the manufacturer’s expertise with those who work with these systems on a daily basis, helping them understand their technical characteristics and contributing to proper installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

The opening ceremony concluded with a gathering between the attendees and the COFEM team, which provided an opportunity to continue sharing experiences and impressions about the sector’s evolution and challenges in a more relaxed atmosphere.

With this new office, we are strengthening our presence in the Valencian Community and taking another step forward in our commitment to three fundamental pillars: technology, knowledge, and specialized training.

Because moving toward more effective fire protection depends not only on developing increasingly advanced systems, but also on having professionals who are trained to install, configure, and maintain them properly.

COFEM.
