COFEM at SICUR 2026: technology, innovation and new launches for smarter fire protection

From February 24 to 27, COFEM will be present at SICUR 2026 (IFEMA Madrid) to show PCI sector professionals its latest technological solutions, new products and advances in systems integration.

SICUR, the International Security Exhibition, celebrates its 25th edition at IFEMA Madrid with a focus on innovation, digitalization and emerging technologies applied to comprehensive security. In this benchmark scenario for the industry, COFEM -a national manufacturer based in Rubí (Barcelona) with more than 50 years of experience developing fire protection systems with proprietary technology- will present a proposal that combines new products, advanced software and a comprehensive brand transformation.

This edition is a key opportunity to discover how the company advances in real solutions for demanding projects, consolidating a trajectory based on constant innovation, interoperability, connectivity and commitment to the current needs of fire safety.

A50xxLD detectors: integrated audiovisual innovation

One of the most outstanding launches at SICUR 2026 will be the new range of A50xxLD detectors, which incorporate integrated audiovisual functionality (light + sound) directly into the detector.

This integration eliminates the need for separate notification devices, reducing installation and maintenance costs and improving efficiency in alarm situations. The equipment combines advanced detection with light and sound alarms certified to EN 54 standards, representing a quantum leap in detection technology.

In addition, the range is UL-EU certified by UL Solutions, positioning COFEM as a national reference with international recognition for these devices.

A50xxLD detectors are especially relevant in environments where immediate alarm awareness is critical, such as:

  • Hotels and lodging.
  • Auditoriums and halls with high noise levels.
  • Evacuation routes where luminous and acoustic signaling is vital.
  • Residences and social-health centers with users of different sensory abilities.

Smart home detectors: EYEHOMELIFE and EYEHOMELIFECO

COFEM expands its technology to the residential and small business segment with the EYEHOMELIFE and EYEHOMELIFECO intelligent detectors.

These stand-alone devices offer fire (smoke) and carbon monoxide (CO) protection without the need for wiring. They are quick to install and have Wi-Fi connectivity that allows remote monitoring and real-time notifications via mobile app.

The EYEHOMELIFECO model also incorporates:

  • CO detection.
  • LCD display.
  • Self-diagnostic system.

All this in a compact format, specifically designed for homes and small installations.

New analog addressable exchanges: Ruby, Quartz and Onyx

Another of COFEM’s major launches at SICUR 2026 is the new family of Rubi, Quartz and Onyx analog addressable control panels, developed to adapt to different installation sizes with agile configuration, remote management and advanced integration.

The range includes three scalable models:

  • RUBI: 1 loop, up to 64 elements and 8 relays. Ideal for smaller installations.
  • QUARTZ: 1 or 2 loops, up to 198 elements and 32 relays. Designed for medium-sized projects.
  • ONYX: 1 or 2 loops, up to 452 elements and 128 relays. The most powerful solution for the most complex environments.

The three control panels incorporate advanced functionalities such as:

  • Remote management through the Cofem 360 app (notifications and bidirectional control from the cell phone).
  • Direct configuration with smartphone via Cofem Installer (Android/iOS).
  • MODBUS protocol for integration with SCADA and BMS systems.
  • Real-time monitoring with iLink by COFEM.
  • UL certification and compliance with EN 54-2 and EN 54-4 standards.

New software for Silver control panel with MODBUS integration

In the software area, COFEM presents a strategic evolution for its Silver central, which now incorporates integration with building management systems (BMS) through MODBUS protocol.

This upgrade significantly expands the system’s capabilities, facilitating interoperability in intelligent environments where integration between security, HVAC, facilities and monitoring is key.

The MODBUS protocol, widely recognized in industrial applications, allows:

  • Centralized supervision.
  • Operational optimization.
  • Real-time control.
  • Increased capacity to respond to critical events.

COFEM already had experience in MODBUS integration in its LYON series control panels and conventional CLVR panels, and now extends this capability to the Silver line, reinforcing its commitment to connected solutions.

A brand in full transformation

Beyond products and software, COFEM is going through a moment of profound renewal. The company has carried out a comprehensive rebranding and launched a new digital platform, incorporating improved tools, resources and access for distributors, installers and customers.

A transformation that consolidates COFEM as an active, innovative company with a clear vocation to evolve the fire protection sector.

Technology that makes a difference

COFEM’s presence at SICUR 2026 reflects a clear vision: to offer integrated, connected and intelligent security. From detectors with integrated audiovisual alarms to smart home solutions and software ready for connected buildings, COFEM’s technology turns detection and protection into tangible value for real projects.

This vision is aligned with the major trends at SICUR 2026: advanced multisensory detection, distributed connectivity, systems integration and digitization of security management.
