Módulo MSTAY8

MSTAY8, intelligent integration for total monitoring.

Cofem’s MSTAY8 addressable analog module extends the capability of the detection system, connecting the outside world to the internal security logic. Equipped with microprocessor and short-circuit isolator, it is integrated as another element of the loop, maintaining system continuity and reliability.

With eight independent inputs, the MSTAY8 allows real-time monitoring of the status of multiple external equipment: flow sensors on sprinkler systems, limit switches on fire doors, elevators, water tanks, pressure groups and more.

It is the ideal tool for installations where different protection and control systems must speak the same language. Accurate, versatile and fully addressable, the MSTAY8 converts external signals into actionable information, reinforcing the building’s overall security.

Technology that listens, interprets and acts: this is intelligent monitoring according to Cofem.

Key features

These inputs can be configured by means of a microswitch as follows:

  • Supervised (pin 1 μswitch ON); in idle state it supervises the external line by means of a 33KΩ resistor, indicating open line or crossed line status. Connecting a 10kΩ resistor in parallel will activate the corresponding input.
  • Active by closed contact (pin 1 μswitch to OFF and pin 3 μswitch to OFF); the input at rest must be with open contacts, in case of event the input contacts must be crossed. This will be the factory setting.
  • Active by open contact (pin 1 μswitch to OFF and pin 3 μswitch to ON); the idle input must be with the contacts crossed, in case of an event the contacts must be opened.

Using pin 2 of the configuration μswitch, select the type of event that the module will send to the control panel; ON Fault and OFF Alarm.

The configuration of the inputs is common to all of them.

The blinking of the transparent red LED indicates communication with the control panel, and if it remains on steady it indicates the activation of one or more inputs. This module has an output for the activation of a remote pilot, which is activated when it is in alarm status. The Technical Signals Module is powered by the connection to the loop.

It is supplied in rectangular modules made of heat-resistant ABS.
